Free bowling
On Sunday we took advantage of a free bowling coupon I found in a local coupon mailer. This one wasn't completely free as we had to pay for shoe rental ($3/adult $1/child).
So an hour of bowling actually cost us $10.00 (they consider Savannah an adult). We saved about $30 since we didn't have to pay for the lane!!! And, we got out of there without having to buy food or without playing video games!

Todays "thing"
Everything was going well until Tyler got on the bus this morning. He was all buckled in and ready to go and realized he was not wearing his watch. He NEEDED his watch. There are days that he doesn't wear a watch at all. But today, now that he is all buckled in and the bus driver is ready to drive away, he NEEDS his watch.
Once he establishes that he NEEDS something (and it could be anything at any time of the day) it is nearly impossible to get him to think of anything else. In fact. it is a recipe for a meltdown if you don't do one of two things. 1) give him what he is asking for or 2) redirect his thoughts to something else.
So, knowing this... I had to run back into the house to find his watch. The great thing about an autistic child... they know exactly where they left something. He knew it was on the kitchen table. I grabbed it, ran back to the bus, handed it to him... and they were off!
God help the bus driver if he can't get his watch on by himself!!!

Free Stuff!
I am on a mission to get as much free stuff as I can!
It all started when I was looking at the All You magazine website and they have a free item of the day. I requested that day's free item... and then I went backward on their calendar and ordered everything else that was still available.
And then I started searching on the internet for other free stuff websites... and there are A LOT.
Yes, I am giving the companies my "personal" information. BUT, if they want anything other than my name, email and address, I do not continue.
Besides, I LOVE getting (good) surprises in the mail!
So, I want to see how far I can go with this. And I thought it would be fun to keep track of all the stuff I get and to share it with anyone else who is interested.
Let me know if you are interested in getting free stuff too. Then maybe I can expand my blog to include ways for you to get free stuff too.
